I was first inspired by the Rocky Mountains of Colorado at the age of nine and my outdoor pursuits continued in the White Mountains of New Hampshire during college. Alaska became a part of my life in 2006, where I have been a glacier guide on the Mendenhall Glacier as well as an Interpretive Naturalist (CIG) and Trail Guide on Juneau's trails.
I earned a self-designed, self-titled BA in Adventure Writing from New Hampshire's Plymouth State University. This was a combination of studies in the English and Adventure Education departments.
I currently reside in Vermont, and am working on a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Nonfiction at the Stonecoast low-residency MFA program (University of Southern Maine).
I am available to work on freelance assignments.
