I am a freelance writer, naturalist, and artisan whose work is largely inspired by nature and outdoor adventures.
My writing includes essays, travel and news articles and the occasional haiku. My essays have been published in
literary journals such as Tidal Echoes and Centripetal and my haiku have been published in Paper Wasp. I have
written for Northwest.com, Trails.com, Gardenguides.com, Run.com, the Boat Broker Outdoors and the
Capital City Weekly, Southeast Alaska's largest distributed community paper, where I have been a staff writer.
